Participation in this study will remain
anonymous and confidential.

The data collected will be encrypted and stored on secure computers at the University of Alberta for 5 years before being destroyed.

Only researchers will have access to study data and information.

Participants' names and other identifying details will never be revealed in any broadcast activity.

The knowledge gained from this study will be invaluable in co-creating, with our partners, administrative policies and procedures that will eliminate the barriers preventing racialized immigrants from entering the teaching profession.

This study was reviewed and approved by the University of Alberta’s Office of Research Ethics. The project identifier is Pro00141187.

Withdrawal

If you have any questions concerning the withdrawal of data, please contact the project manager Dr Samira ElAtia at the following address [email protected].

You may withdraw from the online survey at any time and request that your partial responses be deleted. However, due to its anonymous nature, it will not be possible to remove your data once your responses have been finally submitted.

For individual interviews and group discussions, you are free to withdraw from the process at any time and request that your perspectives not be included in the project, provided that the interviews have not yet been transcribed or integrated into the database.

Participation in this study is voluntary.

Each participant must complete and sign a consent form expressing his or her willingness to participate voluntarily in the research.
